Wheelchair tour of Cotswolds

My husband and I will be staying in Bath for three days. We would like to tour the Cotswolds going as far north as Stratford possibly. I know there are wheelchair accessible taxis in Bath. I have just received a quote from a tour company for taxi and guide for eight hours – 680 pounds which is too steep for us to afford. Does anyone know how we can tour the Cotswolds for the day? Are there any lift equipped public buses that go to these areas? We have taken care of Bath accommodation etc. many thanks Lynn

Lynn, I wish I had the answers for you but I specialize in trains, not buses. I had a look at the Pulhams Coaches website but they don't look wheelchair accessible. If I remember, I can call them next week - they only answer the phone M-F to verify. The problem is that bus services around the Cotswolds are spotty at best. Pulhams, for example has a half dozen services from Stow to Cheltenham, but during tourist season, when school is out, the services are reduced. Most black cabs around the country will be wheelchair accessible but most minicabs won't be. I hope that others here have better ideas than I.
