We are arriving at Heathrow at about 10.30 pm. The next morning we are taking the Eurostar out of Waterloo station. I'm just wondering what kind of area these are in? I don't want to walk out of Heathrow at night in a bad neighborhood. thanks

It's perfectly safe outside the airport and in the neighborhood around Waterloo. Where are you going to spend the night and how are you going to get there?

In my previous visit I stayed in the Premiere Travel Inn located very close to the Waterloo station. Next door is the London Eye, Parliament and other attractions.
I would walk back to my hotel around 11 pm, and found nothing wrong. Its quiet, but the tube and bus station is real close.
From Heathrow, its about 30-45 min to the Waterloo area... depending on traffic.
