I will be spending a couple of days on Gotland in early June. The first afternoon I plan to spend in Visby itself where I am staying, but I've booked a car rental for my second full day to drive around the island. I'm looking for suggestions on what to see. I do have the Bunge Museum on my to-do list but looking for other suggestions. Thanks.
No help here. We tried to go there two different years but could not find any place to stay - conventions going on. Instead we went to Oland Island - very beautiful place if you want ideas for what to see there.
I've only been to Gotland once for a couple of days and I did not have a car. It is really a lovely place. I spent most of my time in Visby and also exploring the area just outside of the medieval walls. I was there in August so I took a bike out to Tofte Beach one day; it is a nice sandy beach, but in early June it will be too cold to swim. Along the way, I noticed a number of small churches and some nice views. It should be great for you to have a car to drive around the island. The Frommers website has a driving tour for Gotland.
