What to pack for Ireland for July/August

I have been to Ireland a couple times but everytime we end up bringing too many clothes that we have a hard time getting around. I want to know what to pack. We will be there for about 4 weeks from the middle of July thru the second week of August. We have never been there during this time and am nervous as for what to bring. Also are laundry mats easily accessible? Any suggestions would be truly appreciated thanks!!!

I just got back from 2 weeks in Ireland, and here's what I brought -- 3 pairs of pants, one pair of shorts, 3 long-sleeved tshirts, 3 short-sleeved tshirts. I buy light-weight clothing that I can easily wash out in the sink and they'll be dry the next day. As far as laundromats, it depends on where you'll be. The Let's Go Ireland book will have information on this -- I got it for our trip and knew beforehand where the closest ATM's and grocery stores were to where we were staying.

It may have changed in the last two years but there were very few,if any, self service laundromats in Ireland. You dropped your laundry off and then picked it up later.
As I am sure you know a rainproof jacket is a necessity.
