we will be going to see 'phantom of the opera' in london - what is acceptable dress for a man? will dress be pretty dressy, or would we see a little bit of everything; should he bring coat and tie/or business casual/ or does it not matter? - julie

Wear what you would normally wear for a meal in a restaurant. The only thing that is considered inappropriate is wearing shorts for an evening performance.

Hi Julie, we have been to the theater in London many times. My husband just wears business casual. There is no need for your husband to bring a coat or tie.
