Considering staying in this area and would like to know more about it. It's just west of Paddington station. Paddington (the neighborhood) doesn't seem to get much attention in the guidebooks. Some FYI: We are a family of 4 (kids are teens). We've all been to Europe and enjoy being in a city. We're not bothered by riding the subway/metro/tube and having to switch trains. Hope that helps! I like staying in the Paddington area when in London. It is convenient to trains, buses, and Tube. It is possible to find "budget" lodgings in the area. There are many hotels in the Norfolk Square area and along Sussex Gardens. I'm not familiar with Westbourne Terrace.
