West End Shows

Hi Laura, oh what fun to attend a show on New Year's Eve. I wear and I see most people wear nice dress slacks and a blouse/top. Some people feel that it's alright to wear jeans but, I feel that it shows the cast respect if you dress a little nicer then jeans.
Since it's New Year's Eve they might dress up a little more, I personally have not been there on New Year's Eve.

We've been to many shows, both summer and winter. We see every kind of "dress" from super casual (jeans/shorts) to very dressy- just short of formal. I usually wear black slacks and a nice top. In winter I like to wear a scarf as sometimes the theatre is either very hot or too cool and with a scarf, I can "adjust". Wear something comfortable, but "nice" and you will be fine.

We've attended many shows at all times of the year. London theatre dress is more casual than I've typically seen in States. Something casual but nice is good, nothing dressier is required. We were overdressed the first time we went.
