I will be working in London June 2-13, so I have the weekend of June 7 & 8 open. Any suggestions? I am thinking Canterbury and Dover.

there are so many great wkend destinations around London. Cotswolds, Windsor, Henley on Thames, Oxford, Cambridge etc

Very cool, I will look into those places. I do want to do something that will contrast with the big city of London, ie small towns, countryside, etc. Thanks!

St. Albans is a great little town, just a short train trip from Kings Cross. There is a wonderful cathedral and Roman ruins.
Of course a weekend in London is not complete without a Saturday visit to Portobello market. If you like antiques and people watching, that's the place but it can be very crowded.
