What websites have travelers from USA used to purchase London theater tickets? I'm thinking about Ticket Master. I want to see several plays and don't want to run all over London to get tickets. I will be there for 11 days starting Dec 27th and I have a long list of things to see. I want to see Billy Elliott, Phantom, Mousetrap, Warhorse, Lion King, maybe Jersey Boys, Flea In Her Ear and Oliver.
I have used Albemarle for theatre tickets on several different trips to London and have always been satisfied with their service.
Ticketmaster UK has never let me down.
We have also used Albemarle's of London. Very reliable. Even had our tickets delivered to our hotel a time or two when we bought close to departure time.
You also can check www.officialondontheatre.co.uk and www.theatremonkey.co.uk.
When I couldn't get the tickets I wanted for War Horse (VERY highly recommended, BTW) from the New London Theatre, I used a website called www.seetickets.com and ended up in the third row, dead center. Tickets arrived at my residence well before we departed. Also, use theatremonkey.com to ensure you get the best buy for your money...they have seating plans and evaluations of the seats. Very helpful!
I have used Albemarle several times~~~ http://www.albemarle-london.com/
We ordered tickets to Love Never Dies via TicketmasterUK six months before our trip and opted to pick up the tickets at Will Call right before the show. No hassles. Just make sure you take the credit card you used to purchase the tickets.
Start by looking at theatremonkey.com. This site will show you the ticket agency that runs the official box office for the theatre and where you can buy tickets for that show with the lowest fees. It also includes opinions on seating options. I've used a number of sites to book tickets, usually relying in theatremonkey's recommendations. I always choose the option to collect the ticket at the box office on the evening of the show.
