Waterford Factory Closing?

I was speaking to my father yesterday about wanting to visit Ireland and he mentioned that he had heard the Waterford factory is closing. Any truth to this? Now THAT is a business I could see bailing out because it is such a part of the fabric of the country.

Well, never mind. I just saw confirmation in another topic that it isn't just closing, but already closed. Very sad.
