Walking in The New Forest

Havent walked. have driven around few times. Not many villages or people in the forest. Do you have a question?

Many, many times, since I grew up in a small village in the Forest and now live a few miles away from it. It's one of my favurite places in the world, any time of the year and I walk there whenever I get the opportunity. There are books with suggested walks- good idea to have one, as I've got lost plenty of times even though I know it really well round the Lyndhurst, Lymington, Brokenhurst, Burley and Ringwood areas. You need to wear walking boots or sturdy shoes. I usually take a packed lunch and find a tree stump to sit on, but there are some lovely pubs in the area, some with local beers. Some of the walks start and finish at a pub.
