I'll be at a conference in Birmingham, UK for 4 days. Then I'd like to explore Wales (never been there.) I know it's not the best time of the year. I'll have 4 days and will take bus/train. Any ideas/experiences?

We have been to Cardiff in late Nov/early Dec. No problems- a bit chilly, some light rain. They have good shopping there and there is a nice, though small, Christmas market that features local craftmen.
