Waddesdon or Woburn Abbey?

We are going to be in the area in May. We have been to the Woburn antique center and the grounds but have not gone into the Abbey. We only have time for either Waddesdon or Woburn Abbey. Has anyone done both of these places and, if yes, which would you recommend? Thanks.

Sharon It looks like, like me, nobody has done both. I don't live far from Woburn Abbey but have never been. I do know how nice Waddesdon Manor is, the grounds, house, batchelor apartment, restaurants, shops, village, aviary, etc. Sorry nobody has been able to compare/contrast the two for you.

Thanks, Nigel. Yes, that's what I figured - no one had done both. As I've stated, we have been to the Woburn antique center and grounds (so impressive!) - just not into the Abbey. We loved what we saw. But we are staying in a B&B that says it's 3 minutes away from Waddesdon, so I think we should try something new. You say it's good, and I've looked online and people seem to like it. So, a new adventure!

Have also been to Waddesdon, but not Woburn. Waddesdon Manor was one our favorite places to visit. I remember that the year we were there that it had been voted by British travelers as their favorite country estate.
