Visiting Bru na Boinne from Dublin (no car) - Mary Gibbon's tour or other?

Hello,

My husband and I will be visiting Dublin for 4 days and wanted to visit Bru na Boinne one day. We won't have a car and are curious about how to get there and back from Dublin.

I've read the Rick Steves book and he suggests taking a shuttle bus from Dublin. He also lists Mary Gibbon as a tour you might want to consider. Has anyone either taken the shuttle or Mary Gibbon's tour? I am not normally an organized tour kind of person, but it sounds like her tour is good and let's you see things you would not otherwise see (inside Newgrange Tomb)?
Many thanks in advance!

I would go with an organized tour,Mary Gibbons,Bus Eireann,or whoever. During the busy time of the year you will be guaranteed to go inside the tomb and the tour will probably make at least one other stop. I did the Bus Eireann tour and was very happy with it.

Meg, my companion and I took the Mary Gibbons tour to the Hill of Tara and Newgrange a few years ago. She was a fount of knowledge and it was a great day.
Last year I went back (I was driving) to visit Knowth (the other big passage grave) and stayed across the road at Roughgrange Farm. Imagine, walking outside your door and seeing Newgrange across the road. It is very impressive.

Highly recommend the Mary Gibbons Tour. The tour includes a short walk to the Hill of Tara. Her knowledge and passion for the area is amazing.
