My family and I have an extra day in our intinerary for our Scandanacvia trip and we are thinking about going to Vilnius. We will be taking a train from Tallinn. Is Vilnius woth seeing for beauty and is there much to do there? Thanks!

I quote: "Vilnius, an explosion of Baroque". Basically, a great strolling city for a day or two. Not much in the way of "sites", but very enjoyable for a brief visit.

Vilinus is a long ways from Tallinn just for a day. I'd suggest Riga - still a fair distance but closer than Vilinus.

If I was in Tallinn and felt I had an extra day to go somewhere else, I'd go to Pärnu or Saarenmaa.
