Has anyone experienced delays due to construction at Victoria Station? I ask because we will be needing to get from Vic. to Paddington for a 08:27 train to Penzance. Was wondering how much time to allow. Perhaps not use the tube at all but rather the bus.

i have been going through Victoria station for over 40 years- and its ALWAYs under some construction. At worst it may add a few minutes to get to the Tube At that time of morning "rush hour" Tube is always better than surface transport

I had seen on this site that Victoria Station was scheduled for an upgrade Nov2013 http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/transportaccessibility/dlr/20802.aspx
