Using Quinlan Tours for a Self Drive Tour vacation thru Ireland

Has anyone had experience with this company? Their self drive tour vacation quotes include the car rental via Hertz (that includes the CDW, automatic car, unlimited milage, VAT, 3rd party insurance, theft protection -- to quote their info). It also includes prepaid ensuite B&B vouchers (so I'd be given a book with the listings of eligible B&Bs that accept the vouchers, to subsequently book the room on my own).

I'm wondering if anyone has had good or bad experience booking a trip this way and specifically, with this company. For example, they quoted me $1200 for 11 nights B&B and 12 days car. Too good to be true or too good to pass up?

That sounds like a great deal, though I'm assuming it does not include airfare (which from the west coast can add a bunch). Even so, you're talking roughly $100/day for housing and car, which is good. You don't mention what time of the year you are talking about, either, which makes a difference.

I have booked a similar trip in the past with Sceptre Tours for an unbelieveable (at the time) price. We booked in November for an April trip. We made our own B&B reservations via email with no problem. We received our vouchers for B&Bs and car rental (through Dan Dooley) about a month or so before the trip. The only problem we had was that at one B&B they claim to have "lost" our voucher-paid reservations and given our rooms to a party of cash-paying golfers. The host, though, arranged for another B&B owner to take us. One of the B&B owners I talked with on subsequent, no-voucher trips said that it sometimes takes a long time for the owner to be reimbursed for the vouchers, yet they have your expenses NOW. So for them, vouchers are a necessary evil to get business through the package deals during slow times, but cash/credit is easier for them.
