My father (79) and I (37) will be in Ireland for about 2 weeks in early September. His 80th b-day will be later in the month. My siblings and I thought it would be nice (as a b-day present) to have him spend a night in a castle or some other unique place. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything will be helpful at this stage. Thanks!

My daughter and I celebrated her 30th birthday in Ireland 2 years. We stayed at the Cashel Palace Hotel. Our room overlooked the adjacent Rock of Cashel. Fantastic hotel, wonderful service, brilliant restaurant. Highly recommend it. Google Cashel Palace Hotel and check it out.
