What's the typical weather - temp and rain - for the UK in the last two weeks of May? Scotland down to London... Thanks.
http://www.wunderground.com/tripplanner/index.asp Above site answers those questions. Input location of interest (needs to be near larger town) and month/day without year, it will give you last 15 years of actual weather.
Great resource! Thanks!
Perhaps as important as the weather is the fact that daylight hours are nearly at their maximum. Which means, if the weather is kind, lovely long light evenings especially in the North.
You're welcome. Glad to help.
Was in London this past May. Blue skies and sun save for one day of rain and a few days of grey overcast. Not LA weather by any means but saw many pairs of shorts and sunbathers. Dress for the 3 weeks varied from light sweater and jeans to blouse and capris to layered look with all weather jacket. All fit in my carry on.
We visited the UK in May and would definitely choose it again. It's still shoulder season so prices and crowds are reasonable. We had mostly great weather (but weather can and does change quickly, even on a day that seems perfect). The days are long, which you might not consider if you have never been in the north when the days are short.
