we will have a car. We'll probably stay at Athlone a couple of nights because my husband's family is from there. We like the castles, cathedrals, museums and ruins. We want to do some hiking. we'd like to come "home" to the same place more often than not so that we can get to mingle with the locals. I was thinking about Killarney because of its location, but it sounds way too touristy. Comments?
