Tube vs. Ferry to Kew Gardens

I am visiting London in June with my wife and my 8 years old daughter. Ferry service ro Kew Gardens seems limited. Unless the ferry ride to Kew should not be missed, I am leaning towards tube for the flexibility (I will be doing a Thames ferry cruise). 'would appreciate any input.

Thanks,

Srini

I took the boat trip up to Kew and the tube back a couple of years ago. I took the early boat in the morning and absolutely loved the scenery. I have also taken Thames cruises. Up river has lots of area out in the countryside and was beautiful. It took some time but I was not in a hurry and I would do it again. I think that it depends on the time that you have and your preference. I was citied out at the time and the countryside views were what I needed.

Kew is wonderful - have been twice and would go again and again. Enjoy!!!!
