We are flying into EDI in September and have 5 nights in Scotland total. Want to see Trossachs and Loch Lomond area, plus head to Oban to do the one-day Mull/Iona tour, with the final 2 nights in Edinburgh. Is it possible to see the Trossachs and Loch Lomond without a car? What about train or bus service from EDI to Trossachs, from Trossachs to Oban, and Oban to EDI? We really don't need a car in Oban or EDI. Thanks, all!
I took a bus tour day trip from Edinburgh to Sterling through Trossachs to Fort William then to Loch Ness, Inverness and down thru Cairngorns back to Edinburgh. That was in April on a 2 week trip to Britain and that day is the most memorable day of that trip, if not my life. I think it was Greyline Tours.
