We have tentative reservations for the following hotels:
Garden Court, Ibis St Euston, Premier Inn London Kings Cross St Pancras and the Jury's Inn Islington. Can you tell me which of these hotels would be your preference to stay in.
thanks so much

We had reservations at the Garden Court in Bayswater. A quiet neighborhood, and very reasonable price per night with the Rick Steves discount of 104 pounds including VAT. We decided to upgrade somewhat and reserved a room at base2stay which allows us a little more freedom in being able to eat a meal (albeit a simple one) in our room rather than breakfast in a dining room.
I decided I didn't want to stay at a large hotel where there would be a lot of tour groups so the Ibis and Premier hotels were out.
Hi Janet. We recently stayed at the Ibis Euston. Very happy with the hotel and it's excellent location. 50 metres from Euston Station and about 10-12 min walk to St.Pancras and Kings Cross stations.
Haven't stayed in any of those but love staying here: www.vancouverstudioapartments.com
Just another option if it fits your budget. Bayswater is Interesting area of London.
Less gentrified. Easy access to two tube stops, major bus routes, nice stroll to Hyde Park, even a indoor shopping mall are all close by. I've stayed there 3 times. No complaints EXCEPT ask for a room no higher than the 3rd floor. No lift and the stairway can be daunting. If just two of you see if room 215 is available. Small kitchenette, quiet, window overlooks the small garden and a great shower if memory serves me well.
Enjoy London. Great city to explore.

I'm Alun Hill - a UK based European travel journalist.
Kings Cross / Euston is still not a very nice area - lots of drunks and loads of building work behind the new International station - and Islington is quite a way out.
Someone, above, mentioned base2stay.com at Kensington - it's the one I recommend - and I stay there myself when filming in London.
Ask if I can help further in any way, please.

Two weeks ago I saw the Premier Inn Kings Cross St Pancras hotel ,it is across from the Kings Cross/St. Pancras station and British library, and it was not in a very central location for getting around to the major sites. We stayed at the Premier Inn at County Hall and it was a great hotel and location, right next to the London Eye. It was very easy to get to the hotel from Heathrow by the Tube.
Janet, Premier Inn are good chain hotels. Clean, fairly reasonable, and the one you listed is a decent location. As Carol posted, there's the County Hall one located adjacent to the Eye. You truly can't get lost finding your hotel that way.
You may want to check tripadvisor on the other hotels.
In my last trip we stayed in an apartment (in Paris), and I must say that was much nicer than any hotel. Check out Claudia's suggestion or do a search on London apartments. In my flight back on BA, the back of the inflight magazine had listings of apartments all over London, some with as little as a 3 days stay, and as little as 79 pounds a night (if you stay a week or more). I wished I tore it out or took the book.
