Trinity Capital Hotel - Dublin

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of this hotel? I'm thinking of booking the family in there for a few weeks in July... Jim

Jim, You might want to delete your two duplicate Threads on this topic, so that you keep replies in the same place. I'm not familiar with that particular hotel, so can't offer any comments. Cheers!

We stayed there in May 2012.
It was fine, and easy walking to Trinity College and Temple Bar, but in a very busy, noisy area that was mostly office buildings, so nothing much of interest right outside the door. I think next time I'd try to book someplace on a leafy, more pedestrian-friendly street. We got a good rate, though, and everything went well. The rooms were clean and roomy. The decor is a bit quirky (lots of mirrored surfaces, reds and purples). We booked online, but I wish I'd called, because they had triple rooms, which we could have used. We ended up booking (and paying for) 3 rooms for 5 of us, when we could easily have stayed in a double and a triple. Another reason to call: Ask for a room at the front of the hotel (I think), with the tall windows. Very nice! Rooms at the back were darker, but possibly more quiet.

Hi Stacy, Thanks for the response. Yes I heard that it can be noisy and that is near a fire station, but it has got some good reviews over on Trip Advisor... In any case it looks like we are going for Wynn's Hotel as of now, so it will be our fall back position. Jim.
