I'm planning a trip to Ireland/ Scotland/ London
What is it you want to know. I have been to the UK more than 40 times.
I am trying to figure out the best way to ferry from Dublin then rail to London then Edinburgh. I want to take the fast ferry to the UK then rail to London, then rail to Edinburgh, and then ferry back to Dublin. My friend and I arrive July 16th at 07:45 and need to be back in Dublin on the 19th. Any ideas? Thanks so much for your help.

If you are flexible, it probably makes more sense to take the ferry from Ireland to Scotland, otherwise you will be doing a lot of extra travelling.

I agree that the ferry straight to Scotland is probably your best bet. The train ride from London to Edinburgh, while beautiful, is long. Going straight to Scotland would increase your time there.
