On our next trip to England, we plan on taking Britrail from London to Edinburgh. My husband's cousin lives in Tynemouth, North Shields, which should be a stop along the way. I've looked on Britail website and cannot find where the stops are from one city to the other. Does anyone know?

Just to be absolutely clear, Tyne and Wear Metro is explicitly not covered by the Britrail pass scheme.

Tynemouth is not on the National Rail network but on the Tyne & Wear Metro, the Newcastle subway system. You need to get off the train at Newcastle. Metro trains from Newcastle Central to Tynemouth run every few minutes and the single fare is £3.00.
