Traveling in May 2012 effected by Olympics London

Will travel be difficult a few months prior to the Olympics. Our plans will take us by train from London to Edinburg and
Ireland.

Unlikely a few months beforehand. Buy your train tickets in advance as it'll be cheaper and you can make a seat reservation, which will be essential regardless.
