My husband, myself and two adult sons are planning a trip to London and the Cotswolds in late March. We are concerned the weather will be unpleasantly cool. What can we expect? Also we plan to visit Hidcote and Kitsgate gardens late March. Any recommendations on this visit. Thanks Liz
Trying to predict our weather is slightly more difficult than predicting the numbers on the national lottery.
You should expect occasional light to heavy showers and cool winds as well as warm sunny days.
Pack a light rain top and a sweater and you should be well prepared.
This year it was nearly a heat wave in late March.
Other years we've had snow.
English weather is a roll of the dice.
When we were there in late March one year, we had a lot of warm sunny days. We did have a few cool days, but not freezing cold. We didn't have any uncomfortable days. But as Al said they have had snow in late March before. Hidcote Gardens open mid March (around the 15th) so you will be able to visit them. Kitsgate Gardens open up on the 23rd of March so you should be able to visit them also. Have a great trip.
