My son and I want to travel form Heathrow to Hadrian's Wall. What is the best way to get there? How long should we plan to stay ? Best way to travel from Hadrian;s Wall to Bath?

also go to www.hadrians-wall.org. As for getting there from Bath, are you driving? Taking the Train?
We too stayed in Hexam and spent several days at the wall. Check out the info center at Once Brewed and the pub at Twice Brewed!
Also look on this site for a previous discussion on walking at the wall. It had some good points.

I stayed in Hexam and spent about a day plus or minus a bit, but I only went to two sites and didn't do much walking. Hexham has a great little museum on the Borders if you're interested in it history. It was a violent area up until the Union. Pam
