My daughter is traveling to Bath next weekend and would like to visit Dyrham Park. Does anyone know how to get there by public transportation? She emailed them, but she got an out-of-office reply that said they check their email infrequently. The National Trust website for the house provides directions, but she won't have a car, and to travel by bus the website says to contact the property. Anyone on the board ever visited there?
I have only driven there. I had a look on Traveline Southwest and there are no public buses listed as going there from the centre of Bath. It sounds like they have run their own shuttle bus themselves in previous years so perhaps that is why you have to contact them. It does state that you need to phone them on the NT website so perhaps she needs to do that as soon as she gets into the UK.
Thanks! She is already there and phone-less, but one of her traveling companions has a phone. I'll tell her to call.
Also Laura, did you find it worth visiting? The others in her party want to go to Stonehenge that day, but she thought she would enjoy Dyrham Park more.
