I will be visiting a friend who is serving at Lakenheath AFB. I'm trying to find the best way to get from Lakenheath to Heathrow airport. Any suggestions?

You can catch a National Express bus to Heathrow in the nearby town of Mildenhall. They run regularly. You can find the schedule online or at the Mildenhall bus station.

Pat is correct. The National Express coach service 727 stops in Mildenhall but will have come from Norwich and will go on to stop in Newmarket, Cambridge and Stansted Airport before continuing to Heathrow. It actually goes on to Gatwick Airport and Brighton, so depending on the day and the time it may well be busy. I'd suggest booking online as far in advance as you can. www.nationalexpress.com
