Next May me, my hubby, sister and 2 boys (12 & 4) will be traveling to Ireland for 5 days. We can extend our trip as long as we wish ( I was thinking about 2 days in Scotland and 2 more in England before returning to Ireland). Airfare to and from Ireland is covered. I would Love to show my family Scotland and England! Any suggestions on affordable travel and kid friendly accommodations and sights?

You aren't going to get to show them much in two days for each of two whole countries. And keep in mind that two of the days (Ireland to Scotland, and England to Ireland) will be mostly taken up with getting from one place to the other. I would suggest you take the extra days in Ireland and save Scotland and England for another trip when you can do them justice.
