What are the best ways to get from London to Wales for independent sightseeing? Places to stay in Wales-med. price?
What are the best ways to get from London to the port in Harwich?
You will need to be a lot more precise to get helpful recommendations. Where in Wales do you want to visit?
Details of rail services from London to Harwich International station (for the port, Harwich Town is the town centre) are at http://www.greateranglia.co.uk/ where you can also book tickets. There are through trains from London timed to connect to the ships to Hoek van Holland. At other times of the day there are connecting trains from Manningtree.
Thanks so much for your help. We would be going to S. and N. Wales, without a car. We are comfortable using the train system. Interested in St. Fagans Welsh Folk Museum & Tintern Abbey in the S. Maybe Caernarfon & Ruthin in the N. Suggestions?
We like staying in B & Bs if you have any suggestions.
