Transportation from cruise ship ports in Baltic countries

We will be going on a Baltic cruise on a Princess ship in June. Does anyone know if we can get into the following cities from their ports by public transportation: Helsinki,Tallinn, Gdansk, Oslo, Copenhagen, and Oslo. Also, if you have done this, how far are these ports from these cities? Are any in walking distance?

We have not done this yet, but plan on doing the same in June, except for Gdansk. You need to determine where your ship is docking. Go to Cruise Critic and you can get information there. We reckon the cities you indicate are all within reasonable walking distance of the places where our ship is docking, but are assured we can get hop on hop off buses or boats or trams nearby. Again, go to cruiscritic.com and go to the boards and there is all sorts of information, including a "roll call" for people to correspond who are going on the same cruise. We got togther with 4 other people this way for a private tour in St. Petersburg.

We walked from ship to Tallin and Copenhagen with no effort, 5 minutes.

We have done that route and those ports -- and it is a mix. A lot depends on where the ship docks and all ships do not dock in the same area. The size of the ship dictates when it can tie up. We were able to walk in most ports, including the tendered ports, but a couple were very long walks.

I've taken cruises from Stockholm to Helsinki and Stockholm to Tallinn. You can walk into the city very easily from Helsinki and Tallinn. About 5 minutes for Tallinn. Helsinki was even less.
