Transportation from Airport to Hotel Scotland

There is a bus that goes from the airport to Waverly Station- that's where we got off because our hotel was across the street. I think it makes several stops. We also got a discount on the hop on/off bus with our ticket stub.

Do you know how early in the a.m. the bus runs TO the airport? We need to catch it about 5 a.m. (or so) - for an 8 a.m. departure.

I did a google search on Edinburgh airport and bus service there is a 24 hour bus that leaves from the Waverly and Haymarket train stations to the airport here is the link:

The number 100 bus is a regular shuttle which runs between the airport and the city (close to the bus and train stations and the high street.) This service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every ten minutes during peak hours and every half an hour off-peak.

A taxi from the rank outside the airport will be approximately £30 to the Grassmarket.
