Transport from Irish Ferries Terminal to Jamestown, Dublin

We'll be arriving in Dublin via the Holyhead-Dublin Irishferries line. We want to get to our hotel on Essex St W as quickly as possible. Are there easy public transport options from the ferry terminal, or is a taxi our best bet for four people?
