Train Timing - Are we crazy?

Hi all,

My husband and I will be arriving in Oslo on Saturday afternoon, and want to take the Sunday night train to Stockholm, which leaves at 22:48. However, we also want to do the Norway in a nutshell tour on sunday, which arrives back at the Oslo train station at 22:32.

Are we crazy to think that we can make this 16 minute time slot? And if so, does anyone have any suggestions as to a similar tour of fjords that we could do that would arrive back in Oslo sooner? I'm open to all suggestions here.

As a back up, we're considering just being okay with saying "if we miss it we miss it" and we'll find someplace to stay last minute and grab the first train out at 7:23 the next morning. Is it wise to think that we can find a place for the night at 11PM in Oslo?

Hello!
The only way to be sure is to check the locations of the trains. If your train is coming in close to the other one then you MIGHT be able to make it. Then there is always the chance your first train might be delayed. You can try it but look up the availability of a hotel room in Oslo that night just in case. Good luck to you!
