I was hoping that someone could tell me if there are any trains that run from Tanworth in Arden to Birmingham on the morning of Sunday, July 25th. It doesn't look like they do. Need to be in London ASAP that Sunday. Any suggestions welcome.
orv,
I'm a little confused. The village of Tanworth in Arden doesn't have a station.
The town of Tamworth (one letter different) has an important station on two levels.
Which is what you need?
Intercity trains start earlier on Sundays, but suburban trains in the UK don't really get out of bed much before 9 or 10 in the morning.
What part of London are you trying to get to?
What time do you need to be there?
If I'm reading the Warwickshire County Council site correctly, there is no bus service to Tanworth in Arden on Sundays.
It looks like Redditch is the closest train station to Tanworth in Arden. On Sundays the first train from Redditch to Birmingham New Street departs at 09:27 and arrives at 10:03. Leave Birmingham at 10:30 and arrive at London Euston at 12:27.
If you can find some other way to get to Birmingham, you can leave Birmingham New Street as early as 08:30 and arrive at London Euston at 10:28.
Perhaps you should plan on spending Saturday night in Birmingham.
That's what I thought. The station for Tanworth that I'll be closest to will we Woodend (WDE).
Any idea how much a taxi from Tanworth to Birmingham wold be?
According to the timetables I just checked, there is no train service on Sundays from Wood End to Birmingham.
I have no idea what a taxi would cost from Tanworth in Arden to Birmingham.
Yeah, I saw there was no train service from Woodend to Birmingham on Sundays, but was hoping I was wrong.
Anyone have any idea how much a taxi would be from Tanworth to Birmingham New Street Station?
