Tower of London Keys Ceremony--Int'l Response Coupons????

I would like to attend the Tower Keys Ceremony, and have written a letter requesting tickets, but you have to include international response coupons for them to send the tickets to you, and I've had two PO's tell me that USPS no longer issues them. Does anyone have any information or advice? Thanks!

The USPS sells them, but some employees don't like to go through the hassle of special ordering them. Try speaking directly to a supervisor or the postmaster of your local branch. Persistence will pay off in the end.

From Rick Steves website - International reply coupons cost $2 each and are available through any US post office (though few stock them, and some postal employees are unfamiliar with the form — direct your postal worker to section 372 of the International Mail Manual, at the post office or downloadable at http://pe.usps.gov/DMMdownload.asp). Your post office should be able to order international reply coupons for you just like they order stamps. Allow about a week's turnaround time.

I also read where you can go to the Tower of London when you arrive and request tickets in person. Or go the day you are at the Tower of London to see if there are any available spots.
We did not go as it is at 9:58 pm (I think)and we were a distance from the tower. But, if you can, arrange to go. It sounds very interesting.

Nicole,

My wife informs me that our local PO had them in stock when she went to buy them. Guess we were lucky. We got them back in March (maybe February) for our trip this past month. I just have to say - go through the hassle to get them. The Ceremony was absolutely awesome. It doesn't have that much pomp and circumstance (though there is a little), but the fact that you are one of 50 or so people allowed to be in there at the time was really cool. The ceremony itself is very awe inspiring in its simplicity and continuity (700+ years!). Hope you can get it to work.

Thank you everyone! I found a PO today that had them, and sent my letter off today! :) Thanks so much for all your kind responses! :)

I too had problems finding the International Reply Coupons, and none of the post offices near us would order any for us. My husband ended up calling the Royal Mail in Scotland and ordering a pack of four stamps that they mailed to us. We used one stamp for the self-addressed stamped envelope for the Tower Keys Ceremony (which you can do instead of sending reply coupons) and used the other stamps for postcards on our trip. It worked well!
