tower of london discount tickets?

without buying a travelcard or Londonpass, is there anyway to get a discounted Tower of London tickets (2 tickets) when we get to London on Tuesday? If not, is there a place we can buy tickets to "Skip the line" once we get there? We will not have access to internet. thanks, Elaine

I assume you'll have Internet access until you leave home. You can get a £1 discount by booking online on the Tower of London site.

hi elaine, if you are getting to the center of london by train, either southern train or national express, you can get a 2 for 1 reduction by printing a voucher here, http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/ just present the voucher with your valid train ticket. the 2 for 1 is valid only on the day you travel by train. hope this help!

Elaine, the "Days out" option will do the trick before you leave...............

You can take either the Heathrow Express (very expensive) or the Heathrow Connect (much cheaper) to Paddington, but then you'll still have to get from there to your hotel by Tube, bus, or taxi.

You said that you didn't want to buy a travelcard, but perhaps you should reconsider. You could buy an Oyster card at LHR for travel on the Tube and use it every day except for the day you want to visit the Tower of London. Buy a one day zone 1-2 paper travelcard at any National Rail station for that day and use it all day long.

Traveling on National Express coaches does not qualify for the 2for1 offers.

I was going to take the tube from Heathrow to Notting Hill area--I don't mind a little extra time by bus, other train, etc.---is there a way to get from Heathrow to London by train? Does taking National Coach count? thanks, Elaine

To clarify Oyster Cards do not qualify for the 2 for 1 offers. only Travelcards issued on card (1 and 3 day Travelcards).
7 Day Travelcards come on an Oyster Card that don't qualify.

I found a 2 for one coupon for the Tower of London at the TI office located on Regent Street in London. We also bought our Heritage Pass there. They have all the brochure information you would ever want. Take a backpack so you can carry them. There were several 2 for one coupons but you can also get on-line now and print some off before you leave home to the sights you want to visit. Wish I was going with you. We LOVED England and Wales. I hope you have a great trip.
