I am aware that there are many tours leaving from the Dublin City center. Is anyone aware of a service that will pick a tour up at the airport, show us the ancient sights & return us to our Dublin hotel for what will now be a well deserved rest? I really want to take the family (12 of us) to see Newgrange upon our arrival instead of finding transport to the hotel, then finding a tour to get us up north. Or having to wait 'till day 2, which we would like to use to view the Dublin sights. Within reason, cost is not the issue. Availability and flexibility is.

With that many people, I would look in to doing a private tour that would pick you up from the airport. Some of the smaller tour companies will do this for you. Especially if cost isn't an issue.

When are you going? I did a quick search and couldn't find the name of the tour company that I know who will do this. But I will be in Dublin next week and will look for the company there for you.

I have not heard of any, but I have found that the Dublin Tourism office is very helpful in planning such things as booking a minibus from outside their door to Newgrange/Knowth, etc. I have only used their services while in Dublin (it's kind of like a AAA office), and not made any arrangements with them before arriving, but I'd imagine they'd be able to help you in some way: http://www.visitdublin.com

Thanks for the help. I will contact the Office of Tourism. Should have thought of that earlier. I had an outfit that was considering taking care of us, but backed out. we will be in Dublin Monday morning (31st).
