Tour to Iona from Oban in October

Hi All,

I know this is the $64,000 question; I am planning to be in Oban mid-October to take the Bowman Tour to Iona and wondering how the sea's will be for the ferry crossing. I have heard that in October they can be rough so the ferry is cancelled and you maybe stuck on Iona or Mull. Any assistance would be appreciated.

You also might post the question on tripadvisor forums. They have local people responding who know more about local conditions. Pam
