too much Backtracking in ireland?

We want to pick up our car at Shannon airport (after 4 days doing tours), cross with the Tarbert ferry to avoid Limerick and head to Dingle Peninsula. We then have three days to explore the south (Cork, Cobh, Cashel, Blarney, Kenmare..), and we wanted to make it over to Glendalough and Wicklow mountains. HOWEVER, we want to leave from the Cork airport on the 4th day, making what seems like a lot of backtracking to me. We COULD leave from Dublin airport but for certain reasons wanted to leave from Cork over Dublin. Thoughts? Too much backtracking, or doable?

As I mentioned on your other post on the same topic, three days (or four, as you mentioned before) are not enough for all of those destinations. Without Dingle, you could probably do the other locations, but you still wouldn't have time for Glendalough. Driving takes a lot longer than the distance seems on a map, and you want to have time to actually see something once you are there.
