I knew about the tollway on M50 around the city of Dublin but I didn't realize all the major highways starting with M are also tollways. I am looking to get from Newgrange to Galway and it appears the route that aaireland.com has us traveling are all tollways (back down to Dublin and then across). Does anyone know how much this one route will cost? How costly are these tollways? Thank you for any help given.

Linda - Have a look at ViaMichelin.com. There is a way on the route planner to avoid toll roads. We traveled this this route in June I don't think we paid more than 5-10 euro in tolls.

The toll on the M18 from Dublin to Galway is 2,80 euro - not worth finding a smaller, longer route to avoid the cost, in my opinion.
