I keep reading that there are multiple entrances to Tivoli, but can't find where they are (other than the main entrance). I'm traveling solo, so want to pick a hotel that's not too far to walk to alone after an evening at the park. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks.
We were there in Sept, 2000. If I were you I would not be concerned about the entrance to the gardens.
I saw only the main entrance and it is on the main street in the city center.
That would mean to me that your hotel will be within a block or two. At night it is well lit.
I agree - I wouldn't worry about the entrance. The last time we were there, we stayed at the Cab Inn (VERY small rooms - clean and economical) - the one we stayed at is fairly new and only a few blocks from the train station and Tivoli.
A few years ago my daughter and I stayed at Hotel Astoria http://astoria-hotel-copenhagen.h-rez.com/ which you can see as you exit the train station. It is only a few minutes walk to Tivoli. There are three entrances, the main on at 3 Besterbrogade, Station Entrance across the road from the Central Station (which would be good to use, if you stay at Hotel Astoria, adn Glyptotek Entrance corner of Tietgensgade and H C Andersons Blvd~~here is their website~~~www.tivoli.dk/composite-3351.htm
