We will be taking our grandchildren to Scandinavia next year. We want to spend about 3 nights in London on the way. We've stayed in London many times - just my husband and myself. Are there any suggestions on where 4 could stay? I'm hoping this won't turn out to be an issue. We will be there 3 days the first week in July 2013. Thanks.
Sharon, so all the places you have stayed before do not have quad rooms.. ? How about the Premier Inns, the one in Kennisington would be convenient to walking to the Natural History Museum, ( kids love that one!) They seem to be able to accomadate up to 4 in a room if 2 are children under 16 . but you will have to double check .. I stayed about 50 feet down the street from it and thought the area was absolutely perfect. walk to two tube stations, ( Gloucester or Earls court) and two grocers, and two museums! Quiet safe area .
Thanks, Pat. I had identified the Premier Inn but couldn't tell if they had quad rooms. I will check. The place we always stay cannot accommodate 4 - but we always stay in Kensington close to Gloucester Road tube, and I love that area. (They will be 16 and 14 when we go.)
Check with the London School of Economics. They rent apartments to tourists. Here is their website www.lsetopfloor.co.uk/
They have multiple central locations. Just be aware- their site has problems with some web browsers (esp. internet explorer)- it will show no availability. But email or call them. Their rates appear to be very reasonable- and you get a kitchen or kitchenett, and either your own laundry or access to the student laundry room. We haven't used them (yet), but I have read good things about them on this board and TripAdvisor. We have used Citadiens (several years ago when we were taking our Kids- then ages 9 and 17). They also have multiple locations- we used the Covent Garden/High Holborn location. http://www.citadines.com/uk/london
