Theatre tickets

We will be in London in June and want to take our granddaughter to see Wicked as it is on the top of her list of things to do! What is the best way to go about getting tickets? We only have one evening that would work for us, so we don't want to miss out on getting tickets. Thanks, Pam

Wicked is loads of fun - even more so if you have read the song lyrics before seeing the play.......There are many reputable ticket agencies in London and unfortunately, also some which aren't. We have used Albemarle several times with excellent results. Address is http://www.albemarle-london.com/

Ticketmaster might not be your cheapest option, what with their evil fees. Have a look at the advice here: http://webcowgirl.wordpress.com/2008/03/02/12-best-ways-to-get-cheap-theatre-tickets-in-london/ Note especially the links to the theatres' own websites. Try pricing seats through a few different sites before you buy - I was flummoxed by the differences in prices and seat availability shown for the same show depending on which site you use!

We went last year and bought the best tickets down front on the stage right, audience left. We were 4 four rows back and could make eye contact with the players. It was stunning and the players met our eyes and smiled at us individually priceless. You can seats and the price of great seats is worth every penny. Trust me on this. "Wicked" is one of the best theatrical experiences we have EVER had. Just because we're from Kansas means it was extra special.... :-). We used ticket monkey and printed the tickets at home.

Why does this website omit certain words and eliminate punctuation like dashes? It makes responses seem like morons are replying. C'mon -- you can do better, no?

TKTS has not been showing a discount for Wicked. TKTS
