I don't find a tube going to Oxford and wonder what it really is. Maybe some sort of joke is being played on me???

The "Oxford Tube" is actually a double-decker coach bus service between Oxford and London....not a subway line. There is a subway station in London called Oxford Circus.
It is a bus and a good way to get from Oxford
into London or vice/versa. I don't remember
the exact cost, but fairly inexpensive.
The Oxford tube is the red bus that goes from London to Oxford and costs £15 return for adults. There is also another bus that does the same journey - the green bus, which is called Oxford Espress (yes, ESpress, not EXpress) and costs the same. You can buy tickets from the driver and not worry about booking ahead of time (though I would if it was a bank holiday or something!) and they run very frequently.
Thanks you all! Where does it leave from in London please? Why would you take it instead of the train? Many thanks,
Mollie
I googled "Oxford Espress" and got lots of info. There are several stops in London and Oxford.
Mollie, the Oxford Tube stops in London at Shepherd's Bush, Notting Hill Gate, Marble Arch, and Victoria. I took the Oxford Tube/Oxford Espress when I was travelling between Oxford and London as a student because it was more convenient and cheaper than a train.
