The Cumberland hotel

Has anyone stayed at the Cumberland hotel in London? If so, how was it? Thanks!

Stayed there a long time ago. I'd stay there, again. It was fine. Smallish room, as usual in most London hotels. Great location on Oxford Street. Ask for a room off the street and on an upper floor to escape some of the street noise. They've renovated since i stayed and apparently gone with a flashier decor.

Also stayed there a long time ago. Very big. dependable, if a little impersonal. Like a lot of big hotels one client is not as important as if you were in a small hotel. Convenient location

I stayed there a long long time ago. It was fine except I had this great corner room which turned out to be noisy (street) across from Hyde Park. It is a great location.

My son and I stayed there in 2002 in the midst of a major remodeling project. We loved the location and proximity to the tube. Our room had not been refurbished yet, even so, it was worth the price we paid on Expedia. Go for it, you won't regret it.

Hi All. Just checked out of The Cumberland. We were upgraded to an executive king in an updated room. Hotel was in a great location as everyone suggested. Room rate was great, service was ok. Thanks for the replies.
