Tea for one?

I'm on my own during the day while my husband attends a conference. The tea threads have piqued my interest. is it acceptable to go alone? I think I want a cream tea. Are there more casual walk in options for this? Thanks

Nothing wrong with going alone. Is it this weekend or in the future. There are loads of places. Where will you be?

Amy, I go to London with my husband while he is at a semi annual conference so am alone for three days each time. I've never felt awkward. I've done tea at Oragery, Grosvenor Hotel, and Haymarket Hotel all were wonderful and I had a great time. The café on the top floor of the Tate is amazing. Great food and a breath taking view. Enjoy, you will have a great time!! Another fun thing I did on an alone day that I think is close to you is I climbed the three hundred stairs to the top of the Monument, I got amazing pics and got to go at my own pace!!

For good, unbiased reviews and suggestions you could go to the Time Out Restaurants Website and put Cream Tea in the search box. There are 73 results; read carefully. Some are very formal and expensive, many are much less formal and much more casual and less expensive. I hope you enjoy your cream tea.
